QC2NT needs no additional installation. But before you run it do configure it as
it is described below.
Appending the symbol list
Open the "symbol.txt" file (included in the downloaded zip file) and append the
symbols as per your requirement. Just make sure they are valid QuoteCenter
symbols (eg.
US@GC.1 or
IN;ECLN) and do give the country extensions.
QuoteCenter symbols as it should be appended
in the symbol.txt file
Appending the symbol in NinjaTrader
Make sure the symbols are also present in NinjaTrader Instrument Manager. If not
present then open NinjaTrader and add the symbols in NinjaTrader from the
Tools>Instrument Manager. Since NinjaTrader won't accept "@" or ";" characters,
you have to exclude these. So if the QuoteCenter symbol is
US@GC.1 then append the symbol
in NinjaTrader as
USGC.1
Again if the QuoteCenter symbol is
IN;ECLN then append the same
in
NinjaTrader as
INECLN
QC2NT will remove any "@" or ";" chars while broadcasting the data to make the
same NinjaTrader compatible.
Hint: Also see NinjaTrader Help Files on how
to add new symbols in Instrument Manager.
Start QuoteCenter and NinjaTrader
Start QuoteCenter and NinjaTrader. In NinjaTrader goto File>Connect and click on
External Data Feed (this is important otherwise the connection won't be
established). See picture below.
Start QC2NT
Start QC2NT by double clicking QC2NT.exe (do make sure both QuoteCenter and
NinjaTrader are running) and click on the Start button. This will connect
QuoteCenter and NinjaTrader. Open a chart in NinjaTrader of the appended symbol
and you will find the data streaming in.
If you minimize QC2NT then QC2NT will minimize itself in the Systems Tray.
Double click the QC2NT icon

in the systems tray to restore the same.
Double click the QC2NT icon to restore QC2NT
Exiting the applications
When you are done first close QC2NT then in NinjaTrader goto File>Disconnect and
click on Disconnect External Feed. Exit NinjaTrader, exit QuoteCenter.
More tips
Do make sure the NinjaTrader has the symbol
appended in its Instrument Manager otherwise NinjaTrader will encountered with
high CPU usage.
QC2NT uses the system time. So make sure the time setting of your PC is properly
set.
Open the chart of the underlying symbols atleast for once. Otherwise data won't
be saved in the database.
Make sure in the Tools>Options, in the Option dialog select the "Data" tab, in
the "General" tab (of Data tab) make sure "Store real-time bar data" is checked.
Make sure the Store real-time bar data is
